[access-uk] Re: Word 2003: working with 2 document open side by side

Found the menu you talk about George, tried it, only works using ctrl+f6 and
not with alt+tab as it used to do without calling this setting. Using JFW9,
must try it using v.10 and 11.
Will try to remember that one. All these changes keep you on your toes, don't
they?

It's right of "Table" and left of "Help".

You screen reader may well be saying "Window" but you are hearing it in a
different context.

  The shortcut letter is "W"

Can't find a Word window menu, got to the compare/merge in tools but couldn't
work out what was to be done as there was only the option to open one document.

  ctrl+f6 will do for now.

  Thanks anyway.

    Marie,

Go to Word's "Window" menu when you have two documents open. All being
well there will be a "Compare Side by Side" option listed.

    George.

I used to be able to do this regularly using alt+tab to go from one
document to the other, extremely handy for translation purposes. Now, when I
open one document, the other disappears and I can't remember altering anything
in the settings in Word.

Can someone help please? Have an urgent translation to do.

Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to answer.

    Cheers now,

    Marie
