Hi
Depending on your budget, an Intel core I five or seven system should be able
to handle this with ease. Make sure you go for a laptop with 16 GB or more of
memory, and it doesn’t hurt to have a generous hard drive capacity for cashing
and buffering. There are a range of models from different manufacturers and
it’s as much about the user experience as it about the specification so I would
suggest you have a look at some models, see how you feel about the keyboard,
screen and connectivity options they offer. Good luck.

Thanks Ibrahim, much appreciated.
Can you recommend any reasonably powerful laptop that can handle Jaws, business
office applications, sound editing applications possibly with 2 hard drives?
Thank you
Ali

Hi
No, the version of windows you have on your system whether it is home or
professional will not make any difference to the way Jaws functions. Many years
ago Jaws did differentiate between standard and professional versions where in
standard versions would only work with home versions of windows, however this
has not been the case for several years. Good luck with your new laptop
purchase.

Hi all,
I am using Jaws home version here. I am hoping to get a new laptop or a desktop
and wondered if the version of the Windows make any difference running the
Jaws? Most of the laptops/desktop PCs I looked at come with Windows pro 64bit.
Could the home version of Jaws be run on the pro version of Windows?
Thank you
