Hi tony.

There is a vast range available from various suppliers. Do not get windows 8. 
She will be a lot better off with windows7. My favourite for reconditioned or 
cheap laptops are tier1online or valu computers. If you are not sure what to go 
for, we can get together on skype to go through options let me know whens 
convenient.
