John,

AT one time, there was a translation toolbar for ms word called Systran but when I tried it, it was not accurate either. There is also a piece of software made by reverso but to be honest, translation software are not accurate anyway, no matter which one you use. I would never recommend using those if you don't know the language you are translating into.

Take care,

Lyn & Twinny

Hello Lynn,

Yes, this is why I wanted a more reliable piece of on-disk
software. The results from Google Translate are far from
precise but do give some idea of meaning when none
whatsoever is previously known. Luckily, I do understand a
little Spanish so am usually able to sort the bad
translations out from the better ones.

John.

Just beware of this type of software...the translations are
not accurate so if you know the language you are translating
into, that would help immensely. I am telling you from
experience, I am bilingual myself and I have tried using
this type of software/service before and the results are not
exactly accurate so be careful with those.
I do translate documents from the international guide dog
federation and the european guide dog federation for my
manager at our guide dog school and I'd rather do these
myself rather than having to rely on this type of
software/service.
