Subject: [access-uk] Well FS has really screwed up this time

So I just updated to the latest version of jaws and most of jaws dialogbox do
not work, mainly insert f11 to read the list of items in the system tray and
insert + f7 to read the list of links within a webpage. This certainly applies
for IE, haven’t tested it on FF yet.

So many people said in past that FS didn’t fix many bugs and introduced new
ones, but I’ve never seen anything like this. Granted, one can easily run
things without those features of jaws and though it’s not necesarrily hugely
important it is something I’m used to for, if nothing else, convenience, but
now if I can’t even use features that have been there for years because of some
bug that wasn’t there in previous version, I’m seriously thinking of switching
to another screenreader. The worst thing is that, as far as I’m aware I can’t
even role back so I can run jaws before the applying this update! If I
downloaded it fresh this update would be included! I guess system restore might
work, but I can’t believe we need to bother with things like this. Who knows
when an update will be relieced to solve this issue and please don’t tell me
that I need to delete my default.jss file because all this was not the case
before this update was implemented and I do not want to lose all my settings.

BTW I’m running win 7 64bit machine.
