Hi Steve. Hmm, that's very interesting. Talknav wouldn't be selling a GPS receiver that wasn't very accurate, that's a self defeating purpose. As for my personal experience, the Keychain is dead on with accuracy, perhaps you should get your unit checked out as I've heard that a firmware upgrade can fix drift, but this has to be applied by Freedom themselves as it is not user performable. All the best, Ibrahim. ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Nutt To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, March 01, 2009 4:40 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Wayfinder access with N95 Hi Ibrahim, Having done several accuracy tests with Wayfinder, I don't find the Keychain as accurate as my Holux M1000, and this is borne out by Sendero, who also don't. Firstly, the internal gps of the N95 isn't terribly reliable and drains battery power considerably faster than normal operation without it. A better gps receiver such as the Keychain 2000 is available from Talknav or online from play.com. I know the N95 has a built in GPS, but I was recommended to get an external one. Can I use Wayfinder without and external GPS? If I need an external, can someone recommend a reliable one at a reasonable price. Cheers Barry
