Hi Leonie, The other advantage is battery drain on your phone. If you have GPS turned on on the phone, it uses far more battery than just using Bluetooth. And the original N95?s battery life is poor anyway. I'd certainly give it a go first, before buying an external one. I think the principle advantage to buying an external GPS may be better coverage indoors, but otherwise I'm not sure if there's much in it.
