Thanks Eleanor for your message, I heard that there would be an exhibition on 4th November in London so I got to think over whether I should go there and give a try with one of my brother who also as Blind Person.----- I think it is too expensive that I might be disappointed afterward.
Much appreciated for your info that can be help making my mind up.
Cheeers.

I have heard someone on NFBUK mention one and I think he found it OK but all he said about it would not make me rush out to get one. On the other hand I tried one once at an exhibition and as I have some residual vision which is useful in daylight I would not have good vision in a dark place at night. I therefore tried the cane having got the person to place objects in my path and I kept my eyes closed. All I can say is that as I approached the object I did feel a vibration but we didn't have anything to simulate head height so I am not sure if it just detects to the level of the tip of the cane. I liked it personally and would have purchased if it had cost £30!
