[access-uk] Re: USB pen drives

Hello

Does the same apply to external disc drives? I have recently purchased a buffalo mini drive and there are 3 programs already there. I have put them together in a folder but I wouldn't mind deleting them if they were not necessary.

Many thanks.

Marg

Thanks Tris and Eleanor for clarification. I thought as much, but didn't
want to render the item useless if there was something hidden after
deletion.

They are usually an afterthought and you can permanently delete it if you
have no wish to use it.

Could someone please advise me whether or not it is safe to delete the
software that comes on some of these USB pen drives? I have just bought a
couple of SanDisk pens, and both have software on them that I wouldn't
really be interested in using. Can I just get rid?

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
