Thanks Stephen,
I think the hub has problem. It needs to go back. Thanks for the
suggestion though.

Thank you.

Hi Ali

I'm sorry to come in halfway through this discussion, but I wonder if the
problem may be that the external power supply is not connected properly to
your hub.

If you use a USB 2.0 hub with a USB 1.1 device connected to any of its
ports, but the hub is unpowered, I believe that the hub converrts itself to
USB 1.1.

I'm only suggesting this as I had a similar problem some time ago with an
unpowered hub.

Regards

Steve Green

George,
No, when I connect them, the notice says, this device can perform faster if
it is connected to a high speed USB.. Click here for available ports.

Thank you.

Could it in fact be the scanner and hard drive that are USB 1?

George.

Subject: [access-uk] USB 02

Hi,
I just bought a seven port USB 02 hub, which is externally powered. It is
one of those Belkin hubs. All USB ports on my computer are USB 02. When I
connected this hub on my computer, it did not complain, but, when the
scanner or the external hard drive is connected, it says, this thing will
work faster if it is connected to USB 02. I am sure the hub is USB 02.
Anyone any idea how I can get this rectified please? I am using Windows XP
Home service pack 2.

Thank you.
