Bottom of the screen, hit the more tab, top of the screen hit the settings
button.
now flick right to the general setting heading.
the first button is called streaming.
and there’s your answer.
Once you turned off streaming you may want to go in to the refresh settings
and control the behaviour from there since automatic streaming has now been
turned off.
If you set it to never then as I described in my previous message, you can
then have complete manual control which saves all of the focus jumping which
Jackie referred to.

manually refresh with a three finger swipe down as and when you want to!
I’d also say though that twitterific is a fabulous little twitter client.
I’ve used tweetings until recently however the focus jumping on refresh
isn’t as much as an issue with twitterific and in some respects its more
flexible.
I’ve not tried the twitter app for some time mainly because the two above
mentioned clients have always done a better job for me!
