I'm on the case and it's getting high on my list to do! <SMILE> Thanks. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Graham Page Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 5:48 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Turning off nod32 to defrag I think it is a bad idea to have 2 virus checkers running at the same time. Trust all on this and other lists though, NOD is pretty much superior to AVG in terms of user experience and in terms of lab tests concerning viruses caught. the way to do this is to download the trial of NOD, physically disconnect your internet connection from the PC, install NOD, reconnect and start your PC. I want to try out the product but would prefer not to remove AVG straight away. Is there any problem, if I decide to keep NOD32, in uninstalling AVG after installation of NOD32? (Stranger things have happened with virus checkers.) If I try it out and then go for the paid-up version, do I then have to uninstall and install over again? -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Barry Sent: Sunday, February 12, 2006 6:51 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Turning off nod32 to defrag Do you need to turn it off? I've defragged and ran scan disc without disabling Nod32 and it seems to have ran fine. Usually, with anti-virus software progs, you can go to the systems tray and disabled it there. However, that's not how it seems to work with nod32. Just wondered how it can be done. What do others, who run nod32, do when they want to defrag, or scan their hard drives for spyware.
