Hi Carol and all.
I use an iPhone. On entering the app TV Anywhere, I have to register it using
my email address and password. You should then be presented with a screen with
tabs at the bottom: The best tab to choose is the third, the guide, which will
show you a list of the channels. The More tab, the right-most tab, allows you
to choose from various options, including recording and series links. I would
suggest that you play with these as I had to do; I don’t often use the
recording options, but on occasions use the play options. You may have to use a
passcode if the program is after the so-called Watershed; I use 1234.
I hope this will help to get you started.
Regards,
Mike

Mike, you haven't made it to clear whether you are using your phone to be
able to access virgin media or if you are using the handset itself. Please
give us more details, as many as you can, about how it is done! Can you set
recording this yourself? I am very interested to learn!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi all.
I can use the TV Anywhere app without difficulty. You can use up to two
devices; I don’t know about listening to recordings via the phone.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Hi Mandy,
LONG TIME NO SPEAK!:)
I was interested to know that you think the Virgin Media app is now working
quite well with the iPhone handset and Voice-Over. If you try it and/or
switch because it's good, I'd really like to know as we came away from using
Virgin's TV because (at that time) things didn't work well, but it may be a
reasonable solution for us, rather than searching round for a suitable box
or TV that has a recorder in it and speech.
I do like to keep up with these things so hope to hear from you, either way,
please.

I am currently a Sky TV customer and using the app but as we are with
VirginMedia for our broadband and phone, I am thinking of switching to them
for the TV.
A friend of mine showed me his phone and the app seems quite accessible
with a few advantages such as being able to record radio programmes which I
cannot do on Sky, also swiping up to delete a programme but I have been
told it can only work on one phone whereas the Sky plus app works on more
than one.
I am hoping someone on this list uses Virgin and their app and can tell me
how they find it for accessibility. I thought I read somewhere that
recordings can be played via the phone.
Also, we might have to buy a new TV. Any recommendations please?
Mandy.
