Hi,

You could argue however that it was not fit for purpose. If it does not
measure as described (I am talking about the electronic one) then it is not
as described.

Regards,

Mike

Hi Derek,

There are only certain items which cannot be returned. This is no different
from normal commercial suppliers. It is usually things which will have
bodily contact such as in-ear headphones, where there could be a risk of
spreading disease. A measuring jug might seem an odd one, but who knows
what someone might have put in it before they return it, and no insurance
company would accept such a liability.

This does not however affect your rights as a consumer if the product is
actually faulty. You can if you wish confirm all this with Trading
Standards or your local Citizens' Advice Bureau.

George.

Hi Jim
No returns policy?
Is that rule just for that product?

I thought there was 28 days return policy on everything RNIB sells.

But anyway, is there not a 7 days returns by law, if goods ordered over
phone, or internet.

Regards, Derek

Hi Jackie and Janet,

Thanks both for quick response, not worth the £45 RNIB are asking and with
no returns policy. Oh well, back to using the tip of my finger if the
liquid is not too hot.

Jim

        Hi Jim

My honest opinion, without being rude, is that it is crap! I did not
find it accurate, and sent it back.

        Kind regards,

        Hi All,

Has anyone purchased the above item, if so, can you give an opinion
as to its practical use etc. Also its not clear in the RNIB description as
to the minimum quantity it will measure and the stages of levels, ie every
fluid ounce or in stages of 2 fld ozs.

        Any comments appreciated.

        Jim Williams
