Using their memory diagnoistic tool, I found my motherboard could take 16 gig of ram, wow! Only got four here, might upgrade to more. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim Gucukoglu Sent: 16 August 2014 20:06 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: [TTZ] a question regarding ram Hi Shaun. There is nothing wrong with Crucial products LOL, they’re a fine memory manufacturer and I recommend them to all my technically minded friends looking for an upgrade. All the best, Ibrahim. For instance, a motherboard which accepts DDR3 will not accept DDR4, and a motherboard with one 1600 MHz and one 1333 MHz RAM stick will cause memory to run at 1333 MHz. I am stuck in a bit of a ram related problem. As you all may recall some days back I had posted that i need tools to test ram speed I got lots of answers and I thank all for it. So today I downloaded portable version of Speccy to know ram and other system details. Apart from speed and type of ram I got something more in my reading it said 1.5V Specified Voltage. So I went to shop for the ram on online websites and on some ram like Kingston DDR3 2 GB Laptop RAM (KVR1333D3S9/2G) it shows 1.5 V Specified Volt... And on some others it doesn't show. Is this 1.5 V Specified Volt... important? Or can I purchase any type of ram. I am going to upgrade it to 8 GB and it already has 2 GB in 1 sloght and 3 are unused. -- search for me on facebook, google+, orkut.. austinpinto.xaviers@xxxxxxxxx <mailto:austinpinto.xaviers@xxxxxxxxx> follow me on twitter. austinmpinto contact me on skype. austin.pinto3 If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
