Hi Sam,

The BCAB list is certainly alive and kicking, and the
information I forwarded was from the footers of all
messages.

And here's further confirmation from their web page.

However, I've copied this to Steve Plumpton of BCAB, and if
there's an on-going problem at the moment, I'm sure he'll
advise.

George.

Subscribe to the BCAB Electronic Mailing List:
The BCAB email list is administered at the University of
Manchester. This mailing list is not restricted to BCAB
members; anyone with an interest in the way the development
of ICT affects the lives of visually impaired people is
welcome to subscribe.

If you have access to the Internet and would like your name
added to the list: type:

"subscribe bcab"

in the BODY of an e-message (without the quotation marks)
and with a blank subject line, and send it to:
ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxxx The E-Mail List Help Page gives more
information on the commands you can use to control your
subscription.

Vince
The reason I asked was I have tried both what yourself and
George suggested but as yet I have had no kind of response
and I was wondering if the list was still going.
