What formats are these talking books that are not showing up? Generally
speaking you don't need to update the Stream's software to play files, but for
instance, you need to have the soft pack to play Audible Enhanced formats. The
books have to be placed in the right folder on the SD card too.
Using the companion to transfer books to the Stream is optional so this issue
is very much doubtfully related to the companion software.

Stream has on SD card 4 books in Talking Books. C/P them into Books folder in
My Documents and then delete them from stream. C/P original 4 books plus others
back to SD card only the 4 original books show up in player although card in
computer shows them all and they can be played on computer.
Any suggestions why this should be? Could it be because I have not up-dated
software? 3.3 is available and Humanware talk about up-grade of 3.3 for
companion software. What is this? Where do I get it and is it necessary to
have?
Could it be a problem with the Stream player? I have tried copy and pasting
with 2 different card holders but I haven't used a different SD card.
