You thought it was a light? You shouldn't have plugged the scart lead from the TV. Unplug it from your sky box end instead. Plug the sky talker scart cable in to your sky box, then the scart lead you unplugged from your sky box in to the back of the scart cable you just plugged in to your sky box.

hi there brilliant of course me being stupid i asumed this was a light so i will plug speakers in to see what happens. i am sure i have things correct here though. just to confirm. everything is straight forward on the actual sky talker but i have the rs 232 right but now i took the tv scart from the back of the tv and put it into the back of the scart that goes in the didi box anwway thanks hope i get it sorted when ever.

Hi John,

There is a standard 3.5mm socket on the back of the unit, at the
opposite end to the power socket, which can be used for speakers or
headphones.
