Hi again,
I know this is a stupid question, but is it right that after hitting space
on the link and selecting the radio button that just says don't run the
wizard I'l do it myself, that you have to check the checkbox that says
Share This Drive With The Network?
Also, I know this is another stupid question, but does thsi enable file
sharing, and if so how can it be disabled?

If you open my computer and put focus on the drive, press your
applications
key and select properties.
Find the sharing tab.
The contents of this tab will vary greatly by which version of windows you
are running. You may get a link warning you about sharing the root of the
drive.
If you do press enter on it.
If XP check the box to share it and enter a name to share it as and then
check the box for allowing the desktop to change files if you want to be
able to save to it as well.
In Windows 7 press the advanced sharing button then check the share box
and
enter a name to share it as. You will need to go into the permissions
button
to allow the desktop to write to the shared drive.
Once this is set up, to connect to the drive from the desktop you will
need
to open my computer and in the address bar type \\NETBOOKS_COMPUTERNAME\
You should then get a view of anything shared from the netbook.

Hi all,
Ok, here's my situation.
I currently have a netbook and a desktop.
As you can probably guess, my desktop is my primary machine, where as my
netbook is fantastic when I'm out-and-about at other peoples houses, etc.
I also have a 160 GB external hard rive that's usually connected to my
netbook so that if I need to, I can easily access my files.
Both of my machines are connected via WLAN to my home network.
I've recently decided that I want to be able to make the files on my 160
GB
drive available to my PC, and I obviously understand that this would only
work if the drive was plugged into my netbook.
I've done some research on the Internet, but all the sites that I've
looked
at don't makes much sence.
I was wondering, does anyone know how I would do this?
