Hi,
The only thing I'd add to this, is to access View Downloads in Internet
Explorer, you press Control-J.
Also Alex, you may not have noticed, but there is a link on the same web
site, that tells you how to disable/enable Smart Screen. I wouldn't
recommend disabling it, but if you want to, you can find the answer here:-
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-enable-or-disable-smartscreen-filter-in
-internet-explorer-9
It seems to be the same in all versions of IE.
All the best
Steve

Hi Andrew,
Some friends were having either the same problem you describe, or something
very similar some time ago, so I did a bit of Googling then, and came up
with the following information which may be of use to you now.
At the time I googled turning off smart Screen filter, and came up with the
following link:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/bypass-smartscreen-filter-ie-edge
Admittedly it doesn't directly talk about turning the feature off, but it
does suggest a way to bypass it if you know the download is safe, so may be
of help
