The secret I find with SS, is to leave yourself logged in so the wizzard can
be used, there is no need to go to the site if you have the wizzard on your
desktop. Also, when sending a link to anybody, make sure you give them the
direct download link, this is much faster and the recippient does not get
sent to spurious pages even if they don't have any account with SS.
Be aware, however, when sending the direct download link, bandwidth is
exctracted from your allowance.
