Thanks David, I stand corrected then. I'm trying hard not to be tempted by this scanner as mine is working fine.

Out of interest though, does it work with the latest version of both K1000 and Open Book?

By the way, as it was you asking on this list last week about your PowerBraille display, I got mine back from Dave Godfrey today, and it's working a treat. As I suspected, it wasn't a JAWS issue, but rather had something pushed down inside that stopped it working properly. And it was reasonably priced to have sorted, so I'm chuffed to little mintballs.

J:
It is the Optibook 3600 - I installed mine with ABBYYY a
month or so ago and have found it superb!
Until my PC blew up last week!

Mark, I believe it's the Opticbook 360, and that Steve Nutt
sells it. It sounds really interesting doesn't it?

Hi all.

Can someone point me towards the make andmodel of the
scanner recently
recommended here for scanning books. I believe it has a
scanning area
that
goes right to the edge of the machine allowing books to be
opened and
placed
onto the edge for scanning.
