Yep, discovered that ...

I linked it so long ago I'd forgotten and remember it now. Suddenly, yesterday, I noticed my contacts. I have yet to look if they're recent ones though because I haven't used my GMAIL calendar for some time now and maybe I've not automatically been saving them, but at least I'm on the way, thanks!

I finally found the Accessability Settings today but didn't actually get to the tutorial as time ran out. I think I may have been stuck in local settings and unable to find it there. Anyway, I'm getting there much quicker than I would have been if I hadn't first learned the iPhone and, what's more, I'm enjoying the journey!

One thing I really like about the Android keyboard is that there's a numbers row at the top. It saves time if you don't have to change between numbers and letters etc.

Well, stick lots to learn so, if anyone thinks of something and wants to tell me they've just done it and how they did it then I'm good to listen! <Smiles>

I'm very much looking forward to a look round from my PC and sending items quickly! That has to be the big "plus" for me!

BTW: The only thing I really have objected to so far is the "clankey sound" which indicated I'd done something. That's finally turned off now! <Hurray!>

Hi Carol,

I see you have a Gmail account.

If you link your iPhone to your Gmail account and let it sync all the contacts,
then sign in with your Android device, you're good to go.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE!

Hi all,

I need to import all my contacts from iPhone to Android and currently they're
either in the Braille Sense or in Thunderbird. I was thinking that I could
maybe save them to Google but haven't done this before and don't know where I
have to go or what I'd do to achieve this.

If anyone has suggestions, bearing in mind that I don't know the Android system
well at all as yet, I'd be interested in comments.

Thanks!
