Carol, and others who may be interested, the page for Mike Linn's Start up
control panel is:

http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

It installs itself as a control panel aplet. There is a tabbed interface which
icludes a control of user start up folder;  Startup Common; HKEY Current User;
HKey_Local_Machine; Run Once; and a tab which lists startup programs you have
deleted.

Mike also does Startup monitor to warn you when anything tries to sneak in and
install itself to run at startup.

HTH.
