In addition to suggestions of others, the additional plugged in item may also cause a problem through what is termed an 'earth loop'. Have the other suggestions worked? If not let us know what peripherals you have plugged into your machine, in particular the one which was plugged in and seemingly caused the hum. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Wendy Sharpe Sent: 27 September 2007 11:20 To: 'UK access' Subject: [access-uk] SPEAKERS HUMMING Friends I have just moved my PC workstation to plug something in at the back, and when I next turned it on my speakers were humming. I have tried jiggling things around again, but still humming. Anyone any ideas why this happens? I'm sure it must be something to do with all those wires.
