Good Morning

I have a 7 port USB hub in which I plug the dongle of my cordless mouse.
Yesterday being a little heavy handed I bent an internal mechanism of a spare
slot with a pen drive. Now my mouse won’t work. I’ve tried it in all 6 working
slots and 4 accessible ones on the tower all to no avail. I have another unused
cordless mouse and that will not work either. I’ve changed the Batteries which
register as full on a tester and the red light under the mouse is on. However I
pinched the Guvnor's corded mouse off of her laptop and it works just fine but
the lord irritates the hell out of me. As the unused cordless mouse won’t work
there is no point in buying another so the solution has to be elsewhere. Is it
possible I need to download drivers for example or maybe go into Devices
Manager to get the system to recognised the mouse.

Any help will be much appreciated with thanks.
