Hi Edward, Am I not right though in thinking you have to subscribe to the Blackberry Messaging Service to have one? I always thought they cost extra because of their messaging service. I'm also not a regular Facebooker, though I might try and dig out my account details and give it a go on the BlackBerry. I definitely prefer the iPhone to the BlackBerry, as the functionality of Apple's Voiceover is better. However, for people who aren't fans of touch screens, then the BlackBerry is an option worth considering particularly if you don't want to do much Internet surfing on the phone. It's also significantly cheaper than the iPhone, and because of its keypad, texting and making calls is quicker. Sorry not to be of more help. I use Talks and when using Talks on Face Book, it is a bit of a pain when writing text. ----- Original Message ----- From: Edward Green <mailto:edward@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2012 8:26 PM Subject: [access-uk] Review of BlackBerry screen reader Hi all, I was reading the latest issue of AccessWorld, and thought some may be interested in their review of the BlackBerry screen reader given various phone discussions that have taken place on list over the years. You can find it at http://www.afb.org/afbpress/pub.asp?DocID=aw130902 I've briefly used the screen reader, and I would concur with the review's findings with the exception of their description of the screen reader's user guide, which to my mind is barely adequate. Hope it's of interest. Ed
