Hi Eleanor,

Just curious, would you stand up for people who have suffered fraud in general - whetiehr they be blind or not?

As I say, I mean no disrespect, I'm just curious.

I support you Andy though the matter is closed on this list too and I for one am prepared to stand up and be counted where there is fraud against a blind person and indeed am most likely to be thrown off this list now too as a result of what I say to you.

Dear Barry and list members.

Barry, there has not been a resolution to this matter, and you know this fine as we have been in communication with each other today. I have not dropped my case against Mr. Grimshaw, so I don't understand why you seem to be covering everything up like this and telling the Re-cycle list members that all is fine now.

As you know Barry, things are far from fine. The Activation Key for the computer that I purchased from Mr. Grunshaw is indeed illegal. Microsoft confirmed this by phone today and I've already conveyed this information to you.

In your message to the list, it sounds as though .

I was the culprit here. I've had to cool down you said. Of course I'm very angry Barry and I'm more angry now to see that you are brushing the whole thing under the carpet.

I did not state at any time that I was dropping my case against this guy, indeed, I confirmed this to you as recently as last evening.

I am the victim here. I purchased a computer from this guy, who provided a copy of the operating system and an illegal activation key. The engineer who had to repair the computer on it's arrival, reinstalled the software and immediately, Microsoft picked this up. Subsequently, every time I boot this computer up, I am being told by Microsoft that I have been the victim of fraud and I'm taken to their site, in order to purchase a legal OS.

I have indeed contacted Strathclyde Police and I'm actually waiting for a call from someone in Edinburgh. So things are far from resolved.

This matter could have been resolved immediately by Mr. Grimshaw. All he had to do was send me the Original Operating System CD. Indeed I actually thought that I had this. I did not think for a minute that I had a blank copy. Everyone knows Barry, if you are selling software on this list, or be it, along with a computer, you need to provide the original legal CD, and not a copy. What would stop someone from selling the same product again and again.

So yes Barry, I'm still far from happy and very disappointed with the management team of this list for not supporting or assisting me. As soon as you were told that I was going to contact the authorities and mentioned fraud, you all freaked in fear of a court action, and indeed proposed that both James and I be suspended from the list until the matter had been resolved.

So you don't really care about us the members, you are only concerned about yourselves and I no longer wish to be associated with this or the Access UK list.

Concerning the latter, as this subject was discussed on the Access.UK list, I have sent a copy of this message to that list also, before the members are told of some miraculous resolution.

Andy Logue.
