Windows Defender is very good, free and accessible. AVG Free 7.5 is a good
light touch anti-virus though I doubt it's effectiveness in all cases, if you
are a relatively light or unnadventurous net user this would be a good choice.
NOD32 and F-Prot are good contenders in the paid anti-virus market and both
accessible and would give better protection in cases where people's net
wanderings might lead them into contact with the less selubrious bits of the
net. F-Prot has a generaous license allowing you to install on up to five PCs
for a single user license and is competitively priced against Norton. The one
thing you definitely should not do is go for Norton 2007 which has become very
innaccessible screen reader wise. NOD32 and F-Pro have free 30 day trials so
you have nothing to loose.
