Exactly that, Steve. I must admit to being quite partisan in favour of Apple
against Android, so someone like me really wouldn’t be suitable.
Cheers

Hi,
There doesn’t need to be arguments at all. When I was on, I was as honest as I
could be about both camps. I am very familiar with both operating systems, so
know most of the limitation of each.
You just need someone who knows about Android who doesn’t have an agenda. I
don’t, but I don’t have the time to do it.
All the best
Steve

Perhaps two presenters, one an Apple fan and the other an Android fan would
work? But there would have to be a house rule that they didn’t get into
constant arguments over who’s is best. Maybe they need a chairperson to
control the ebb and flow of discussions.

No I don’t think it is Barry. The programme needs a facelift with a different
presenter. You need humour, but not to the extreme I have heard it goes to
now. And you need to be more objective and balanced, there has always been too
much ranting about Apple. I like my iPhone and use it every day, but I am not
obsessed enough to refrain from calling Apple out for criticism when I think it
is due.

Is it broken beyond repair? I wonder if it would even be possible for the
presenters to go from their current format to one that is more succinct. It
would be like telling Steve Wright to stop his chatter. Perhaps it’s time for
a change of presenter for the RNIB show.

I never listen to it and find other ways and means of acquiring technology
information. I think RNIB chiefs need to consider seriously the fact that
these few egos are not serving the community at all, merely their own inflated
self-importance.

As east week goes by, more and more time is wasted. The first five to ten
minutes is often absolute rubbish. When there was a survey requesting feedback,
I voiced my concern over the awful banter. In my view, the situation has
worsened since then.

Hi,
I agree the ramblings of the team on the RNIB tech talk drives me up the wall,
as most of what they have to say is just rubbish.

Is there a fact sheet which goes with this show?
I find it almost unlistenable, largely due to the endless forced bonhomie,
its devotion to Apple and the underlying anti-Braille undertones.
It has got some good stuff in it but who can be bothered to listen to the
“boys” having a “good time?”
hence my interest in a fact sheet.

PS did here a really good episode With Steve from computer rooms, learned
more about Android, refreshing.
