It is not necessary to press the button twice. After telling the time. When setting the alarm, press the button and hold it till a long vibration is felt. Then touch the hour, felt by a long vibration, and the minute. When a short set of vibrations are felt. When one wants to turn on the alarm, press the butten, and rather than feeling the time, hold your finger on the 12 O'clock till a vibration is felt. To turn off the alarm, press the button, and hold your finger on the 6 O'clock. Till a vibration is felt. Read the time at which the alarm is set by running your finger counter clockwise around the face.
