It is not necessary to press the button twice. After telling the time. When setting the alarm, press the button and hold it till a long vibration is felt. Then touch the hour, felt by a long vibration, and the minute. When a short set of vibrations are felt. When one wants to turn on the alarm, press the butten, and rather than feeling the time, hold your finger on the 12 O'clock till a vibration is felt. To turn off the alarm, press the button, and hold your finger on the 6 O'clock. Till a vibration is felt. Read the time at which the alarm is set by running your finger counter clockwise around the face. After the butten is pressed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Halliwell" <davidpeterhalliwell@xxxxxxxxx>

Hiya Robert,
Thanks so much for your email.
I picked the watch up from a shop as the bracelet needed adjusting, and they set it up, but to be fair, they were pretty clueless, and it was more luck than judgement I'd say! SMILEY!
I've a couple of questions you might be able to help with:
After you've pressed the button, read the time is it necessary to repress the button to disabled the mechanism, or does it do this automatically; And I'm not clear on the synchronising the hands - it says you need a sighte person to do this, are you familiar with this?
Many thanks
D

David, I have one of these watches. If you've managed to set it up you've
probably worked out most of what you need to know. Let me know if there's
something in particular like alarm settings you want to know about and I'll
try my best.

I haven't needed to myself but you might find something on the Tissot
website.

Best wishes

Robert

Oggetto: [access-uk] Vibrating tactile watch query

Hello,
I received a Tissot silen-t watch for my Birthday this weekend.
I understand the RNIB used to sell this watch, and I was wondering on the
off chance, if any one has some accessible instructions for the watch.
I think I've broadly set it up correctly, but I'd welcome a helping hand
from instructions or an owner of this item.
Many thanks in advance.
David
