Dear Brian,

I could send you the "contract for Hire" which came out as "contract for
higher" throughout - I spent a long time trying to get it to differentiate
between the two without success - even by speaking unnaturally (which is
exactly what you are supposed not to have to do).

As a matter of interest how would you go about getting it to distinguish
between presents (as in gifts) and presence (as in being there)? My sister
was quite amused that I thanked her for her "presence" rather than
"presents" after Christmas. It was only after she told me that I even
thought that there might be another word with the same sound but different
meaning. As I said before, there are thousands of such words in English.

As mentioned in my previous message, it helped me greatly when I had a
broken hand. Since that has got better I have been using it less and less.

I thought it important to record my experience with the programme so people
have a more balanced idea of its capabilities. Everyone up to now has been
saying how brilliant it is.

Best wishes

Robert

Hi Jeff,

We have been using Dragon for many years, both supplying and providing
training.

I don't agree with Robert's comments, Dragon is normally very good at
distinguishing the difference between 'higher' and 'hire' or 'there' and
'their'. If it does get something wrong, providing you correct it, Dragon
will remember this.

It is optimised for UK English, so there shouldn't be any problems.

I hope this helps but if not, please let me know.

Thanks,

Brian.
