Oh that's not good.  My toy budget for the next couple of months is
already overdrawn.

Hi Mike.

The DDWRT router that you have is unfortunately a cable router. I
believe you'd need to buy a VDSL router for compatibility with BT's
network and one that would run DDWRT. if/when you'd like to look at
options, drop me a note off list.

cheers,

Mo.

Hello David.

I currently have a BT hub into which I have a DDWRT hub plugged.  Then
my LAN plugs into the DDWRT hub.

I find the accessibility of the BT hub management page very poor so
doing adjustments to port-forwarding etc. is very difficult.

So I'd be curious to hear what user and password settings to put into
the DDWRT hub to take the BT thing totally out of the picture.

I absolutely hate these nasty Thompson BT hubs.

I am glad that I am not the only one who is having problems with BT.
Well my own solution was to go out and buy my own hub, and now every
thing is working OK.

I get it periodically.  Mostly just after school chucking out time when
all the kids are getting home.

I have come to the conclusion that it is because BT are so tight-fisted
and so not focused on customer-service that they don't have enough
server resource.

When it happens I pretty much have to close Thunderbird and open it
again.

And don't bother phoning them to ask why.  When you get through to
Calcutta they won't know what you're talking about and will just ask
you
what colour the lights are on your router over and over again.

Hi all,

For just over a week now, apart from last Friday, every time I try
to login to my email page, I get the following message
Sorry
We're experiencing a temporary problem with Email and are working
to fix it as soon
as possible. Please try again later. Sorry if this causes any
inconvenience.
Has anyone else with a BT email account seen this message. Thanks
in advance for anyone's help.
All the best
