Thanks Steve and Jo for replying. Other than the lack of remembering and
book marking MP3 files, is there any other limitations to use the R-09 as an
MP3 player? Is it good enough for listening to music? Or the play back
quality isn't very good on it.

one of the uses you mentioned in your previous mail was to play mp3 files. I wouldn't consider the roland recorders as mp3 file players. Of course they will play the files, but you have no book marking at all, and certainly the r-1 would not remember the last stopping point of a file after switch off and on again.
Just a thought.
Of course Steve nut is correct, they are fine recorders, but that's exactly what they are.
