The phone is locked to Orange so I wouldn't expect any others to work. Like I
say, I've tried to new Orange SIMs.

Trying to ring Orange but they won't let me go any further until I enter my
Orange number which of course I don't have!

  Barbara,

I get this message when I've rebooted a phone that doesn't have a sim in it,
so obviously the phone is looking for a sim ...

Perhaps the sims are incorrectly seated???

Can you get any other sim to work in the phone?
