[access-uk] Password protecting usb flash disk

Hi all,
Recently, I posted asking if anyone knew of a piece of software that would
allow me to password protect a usb pen drive.
People were very helpful in recommending truecrypt which is free.
Thanks folks.
I downloaded this, but I've either misplaced my brian, or my degree in
computerness, and I have no idea what to do.
So any other suggestions (easy to understand mind you) would be gratefully
received.
