Hi Chris,

Are you sure? This machine is running XP and IE has parental controls. I
haven't even upgraded to IE 7.

Cheers,
Amro

Parental Controls is a new feature in Vista, so this will not apply to XP or
earlier users.

Yes the tool can come in handy. You can also set the time period such as
6pm to 7pm for each evening which I have set for my kids. Windows will
automatically log off after the period of time has expired. Yes it annoys the
children but too much computer and internet gaming can have an effect on a
young child. I have only tried this feature in Vista so I don't know if it
works the same in XP. You can also set the rating of the content such as games
in which they are allowed to play.

Now why didn't I think of that. I've just visited the Windows knowledge
pages and you're right, IE seams to offer a good level of protection for
miners. I suppose I never had to worry about this in the past so it never
occurred to me that Windows has this feature built in. Seams like a really
basic question what I asked! Thanks Saqib.
      Cheers,
      Amro

Can you not set up parental controls when you create a separate login
ID for your children?

          Hi everyone,

Yes, the kids learned how to use IE, and as responsible parents do, I
have to parent control them now! :)

So, does anyone know of a program that can automatically block
internet material that is not suitable for miners? And yeah! it has to be an
accessible program too! I don't mind paying if I can find something that can do
the job.

          Thanks in anticipation,

          Amro
