Hi listers,

Agreed; my battery initially held up very well, but now it won't drive the
disk unit at all.

Cheers,

Mike

I remember hearing a seminar from Sight Village given by Plextor. When it
was said there would be ten hours battery life from the PTX1, this was
greeted with universal chortling. Despite recalls because of faulty
batteries, I have never had anything like ten hours out of my PTX1 away from
the mains. Using an MP3 disk with a battery level of less than 60% causes
the machine to lock and I reckon I would never get an entire audio cd from
battery power.

I have on loan from R N I B.the P T X 1. all singing all dancing machine but
the battery discharges even when just doing nothing, I suppose I should
send it back but hesitate as I might get a machine with other problems.

This range does not hold battery charge well at all.

Hazel
