Hello John,
I'm not Steve, but I've been using True Call for nearly three years. If you've got the Panasonic phones with talking caller ID, it doesn't matter which room in the house you're in as if there's a phone in that room, the phone will read out the number, or the name if the contacts are in your true call unit. In fact, I've turned my True Call speaker off and rely on my phones to tell me who's calling.
Also, regarding international calls, you can give your friends the international code to enter, which is usually the last four digits of your true call serial number, so anyone who called you from abroad that you needed to speak to would have to enter the code first to get through.
I'm sure Steve will put me right if I've got anything wrong but that's how I use mine and I wouldn't be without it.

Cheers,
Sandra.
