I was also going to suggest getting an ultrabook. Personally not fond of netbooks. Hope you find what you looking for. Just googled the specs, but they don’t tell the whole story. It’s only when you get it out of the box that you see what you have just paid for. It’s truly beautiful!! So thin and light, but very quick, and doesn’t get hot, with a fantastic battery life. I got mine new from eBay, as it was around £400 cheaper from the regular well known stores. Its a pleasure. Just one thing I'd add, there are a range of laptops called Ultra books, these are thing, light and powerful machines with an emphasis on mobility. The Samsung Series 9 range are such machines however all the major manufacturers make them. All the best and good hunting, Ibrahim. I am not confident enough yet to switch to apple, so I will look at the other option. Likewise, the complements of the season to you and yours this Christmas. A netbook is not going to have a fast processor, they are designed to be inexpensive machines for web browsing, emailing and other light computing tasks. If you really want a powerful laptop which is light and compact, something like the Samsung Series 9 notebook range which have solid state storage on some of the models or a MacBook Air from Apple cant be beaten. Of course you will be spending a fare amount of money on either of these options, however if judiciously chosen, you’ll be buying a machine which will last you a good 2 or 3 years, perhaps even longer. All the best, Ibrahim. Secondly let me thank you for all the help and support, couldn't have coped without it. After Christmas I am going to treat myself to either a netbook or lightweight laptop. What I need is a fast processor if possible and something which wont dislocate my back. Any suggestions? Niamh
