Hi
Barry is correct, that is the information that Customer Services have, which
will be updated later today.

The latest stock situation is as follows:

45 due tomorrow. These are not final final model, but are just missing a bit
of screen printing. We will use these to demonstrate at Sight Village. The pen
has the facility to record onto one pen and copy across to others, so we're
going to label all the products on display, so that customers can independently
browse the shop if they want to using one of a batch of pens. We will also use
some of these to send to distributors and resource centres.

Several hundred are due next week. We are hoping that we'll have them in time
to sell at Sight Village, but to be honest it is touch and go. They are being
manufactured in China as we speak! The delivery date for the additional pack
of labels is 25 July, but you get 127 with the PenFriend to get you started.

I don't want any disappointed customers at Sight Village! There is enough
stock coming in to fulfil the orders Customer Services have taken and sales at
Sight Village, so one method of purchase isn't going to get one to you any
quicker over the other.

As soon as I have confirmation of delivery date, happy to post.

Thanks
Alison

Just to pour water on bonfires unless you are going to Sight Village...

I ordered one last week or the week before and they were out of stock. This
thread has prompted me to phone RNIB customer services who were very helpful
but who told me that they had a delivery yesterday. All of that delivery
has been reserved for Sight Village, the next delivery of stock to RNIB is
due on 21 August. So if you want to jump the queue, go to Sight Village and
you'll get one ahead of those folks who ordered one before you.

Must say, I can understand RNIB not wanting to be stood at a stand
demonstrating something they can't sell because they have all been sold, but
it's a tad unfair on folks who have ordered one already based on the article
in the New Product Guide, particularly with the long delay before the next
batch of stock is in.

All the best,
Barry G
