Hi Carol,
It's not so much that, it's the fact that it is harder to set up a phone as
a modem than to set up your PDA to connect wirelessly. And as you have
seen, such PDAs as the Pacmate don't yet work with USB modems such as these.
The best solution for these, and Braille notes, of course, and all the
others, is Walking Hotspot.

Right. OK, now I understand and might do that one day, if I need to be more
portable out and about again.
Presumably this is better than trying to use your phone as a modem, probably
faster ... Maybe you and others will have a comment on this.
