Just saw this update in my updates feed this morning, it appears Microsoft have
done it again - adding a new feature to Seeing AI for those with the latest
iPhone Pro models. Seeing AI can now use the Lidar functionality within these
iPhones to give you a 3d simulation of your environment and objects within it
using a pair of headphones. Using 3d positional audio, you can scan for
objects in your immediate environment, get distance and description and set an
audio beacon to assist you in locating the object. Now, if they would only add
automatic object recognition and OCR functionality, this could make one amazing
navigation solution especially for indoor environments. I'm going to be
playing with this function over the next few days and will report my feedback
of course, however if any of your have the latest iPhone, this might help you
in justifying the cost of that hunk of metal and glass a little more easily.
