MessageSteve,
are you using Libra? I work for the National Offender Management Service and
there are concerns about the extended use of Libra within the Probation Service
due to its lack of inclusive design for use with assistive technology. I
would be interested to speak to anyone currently using Libra with assistive
technology.

Inclusive Design means that all products, services, environments etc., should
be accessible and usable by the majority of people to the greatest extent
without the need for any adaptation or specialist design.

  Hi Matthew,

I thought you might be using Libra, an inhouse Courts program which has
replaced Equis the courts package for showing court dates of offenders and case
results.

Are you able to tell me whether Lawsoft is a Windows package? If not,
strictly windows is it an inhouse system e.g. not an off the shelf package.
Finally, if it's not windows maybe it's a Citrix application. Citrix
applications are now accessible with Jaws but you must have two versions of
Jaws, one on your workstation and the other located on the server so that they
can work with each other. It's quite technical how they interact but if you've
got a finance department willing to pay for such a thing as two versions or two
licenced copies one for the server and one for your workstation then there's no
reason why citrix based applications can't be accessible for visually impaired
users.

  Steve

  Hi Steve,

The software which my employer uses is "LawSoft", are you familiar with this
program? I am using Jaws version 8 if that is of any help regarding Jaws
compatibility with LawSoft.

  Very many thanks.

  Regards.

  Matty
