Hi,

A few questions to narrow things down.

Are you looking for a free or paid solution?
If Free, do you mind advertising?
If paid, do you have a rough budget per month?
Do you require any specific technical functionalities, e.g. PHP
Space/bandwidth constraints? Even a simple yet popular site can quickly
mount up bandwidth, and some hosts charge per GB if you exceed the quota.
Does it have to be a UK host?
Do you require a domain name?

Personally, I use HostGator:
www.hostgator.com

They have file uploading by FTP, SSH and two web upload forms. I pay
between £5 and £7 a month depending on exchange rates. I've been with them
for nearly three years and have not had problems in that time, with only one
episode of downtime that I am aware of. During this time updates were
provided as to the status of the downtime via HostGator's forums. Also, you
can ask questions in the forums before you start your hosting, which are
answered by both staff and existing members.

Let me know if you want more info on HostGator. Otherwise, perhaps if you
could give some answers to the questions above, it will help pin down hosts
that better match your requirements.
