There is a list for VIP's in the States and I was on it for quite a long time. 
The traffic level is very high but, if you care to be choosy about what you 
read and not mind the high volume, you can join.

You're probably best to do this directly on the WEB. Some people have found 
they haven't been accepted when doing it directly from email, and this is 
probably because the mod didn't notice the emails that had to be approved, or 
they got lost in the system somewhere..
