Yes, I agree but am just looking at some other alternatives.  My immediate
thought was though that something like the Fire XDS might be a nice
introduction to Android seeing how the XDS at the moment is only 99 quid.

Steve, for my money the best bet for anyone with an IOS device is the Kindle
app.  Almost fully accessible and free.
