I'm using office 2000 and my laptop is brand new. Not sure of the speed,
Brian. But this is a recent P20 with 17 inch monitor. It might be worth
noting that I use Zoomtext also, which might well cause scripts .to not work
100%

Hi

One of my computers is a Toshiba laptop and it's working great here. Which
version of Office are you using and what is the processor speed.
I am away for a couple of days after today so if I go quiet on you for a
while, you know why.

Hi Brian, I'm using a Toshiba laptop with a cordless keyboard. Jaws settings
are set to laptop as I use the keyboard on laptop mode. When I'm in Outlook,
whenever I hit enter on an email, the email is read nicely. Shift plus alt
plus m toggles reading as it should. What is not working for me, is when I
have one email already open and I hit control plus period to open the next
email, i only get the top line most of the time. i say most of the time
because, for some reason, it works on some emails, mostly html, but seems to
have difficulty on emails of plain text. Strange but true. Settings for my
computer is as they should be.
I've been waiting for a long time for decent scripts for Outlook, so I hope
I can get it figured out.

Ah OK Carol, I'll comment on it then. I think the problem was caused by some
key assignments which had been assigned to the desktop layout in the default
Outlook scripts, and not for all keyboard layouts. This happens from time
to time with jaws. This was providing a conflict. I have this feature
working perfectly now on three machines here, one running xp pro and office
2003, one using xp home and office 2000 and one using office 2000 and
windows 98, so everything should be fine.

I'm also interested in this thread as I intend to load Brian's scripts just
as soon as I have JAWS and installed.

Brian, Scripts are loaded, control plus alt plus M to toggle the automatic
reading of messages is on, but I'm only getting the top line.
What am I doing wrong.
