Just taught I would chip in here and let people know that, over the next
month or so, if you have windows 7, 8 or 8.1 you will likely get pop-up
messages advising of the imminent release of the much vaunted windows
10. anticipated release date is July 29th. after that there will be no
further versions of windows but incremental updates instead.the release
will be free for the first year for windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users. It is
unclear whether Microsoft will be shifting to a subscription model after
that date but it is worth keeping this possibility in mind.

It would be wise to wait until it's at least formally released unless you are

Even as a sighted tester, I am seeing some questionable areas, not least of
all that the Help system is far from satisfactory.

Thanks for the warning as my husband is quite keen to install it, especially
as it is a free upgrade.

Can anyone else say whether other screen readers do or do not work with
Windows 10?

OK Guys,

Please do not install Windows Ten if you are a Jaws user, even up to the
current version. I have it on extremely good authority that it will not
work. I believe it is being worked on but at present, none of the Jaws
versions are compatible with Win Ten so, be it on your own head if you
install it!

As far as the other screen readers go, I can't answer that at the mo.
