Hi everyone
So this article on BBC News and thought I would share with everyone as it will
affect all of us, iPad iPhone and Kindle users etc. The VAT charged on
consumable purchases made on these devices is due to increase from 15 to 20% as
the VAT will be charged in the country where the goods are consumed rather than
weather company had offices based. Apple and Amazon currently have their head
office based in Luxembourg so that VAT is charged at just 15% for music, movies
and TV shows etc, and 3% for books.
